Bukchon Hanok Village 북촌한옥마을
Friday, November 20, 2015
Bukchon Hanok Village is a hilly neighbourhood with an endless amount of hidden cafes, art galleries, guesthouses and shops, providing a window of opportunity for visitors to experience and immerse in the Korean traditional culture. The village is about 15 minutes walk from Gyeongbokgung Palace and it was really nice to roam around as the weather was so beautiful. Feeling artsy inspired through the streets of Korean traditional houses against the modern development of the city!
There are 8 photo spots in Bukchon Hanok Village where you can capture the best pictures of this quaint village. However, we couldn't manage to visit all the photo spots as we were running out of time. Although the village is transforming into a culture hub of the city, the village is in fact an active residential area, therefore visitors are SUPPOSED to keep quiet in the village. But some tourists were speaking as loud as they want and they definitely spoiled the atmosphere. T-T
Directions to Bukchon Hanok Village:
1. Take Subway Line 3 to Anguk Station, 안국역.
2. Come out from Exit 2 and walk straight.
What a shame that we couldn't spend much time and take more beautiful photos of this village as the village was very very crowded that day. :( I will definitely visit this village again next time!
